NEWBURGH THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

Has anybody besides me been ripped off by a bogus diploma mill?
They're everywhere now.
I've been doing some research, and man, there are literally THOUSANDS of them. Tuition rates are usually "affordable", as they like to advertise. But the degree isn't worth the paper it's wrote on. For example, I have a degree from the University of Metaphysics. Then, one day, I saw their name on a CHEA list of unaccredited diploma mills. I was floored!
Here's what's worse. Recently, I enrolled in a theological school to do a Bachelor of Theology in Christian Counselling at what appears also to be a diploma mill. It's called
NEWBURGH THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY. They're based out of Newburgh, Indiana. The parent company is a so-called ministry organization by the name: Helpers in Ministry.
No accreditation standards. No accrditation, apparantly, by anyone or ANY organization.
WHEN IS CHEA GOING TO LIST THEM AS THE UNACCREDITED DIPLOMA MILL THAT THEY ARE?
Has anybody else been rippe off by fake schools like this? I'm sure there are, even if you're too embarassed, or too dishonest, to come forth and say so.
Let's SHUT 'EM DOWN!
These fake degrees are worthless, and worse, deceptive to employers, our economies, etc. The other problem is that a fake degree can allow terrorists to gain entry (and infiltrate our security and defense mechanisms) and gain terrorist-aimed income sources. They get into jobs where they can do damage or cause time delays, scene casings, etc. This is serious stuff! As for my fake degrees, they're now just wall hangings, and I immediately tell any employer that they are unaccrdited credentials, so I only list them as self development studies, nothin more. That's the right thing to do, or burn them!
Anyway, I'd like to hear who else has been burned by these bogus schools.

Bye for Now.

You are severely mistaken. Newburgh is NOT a diploma mill. They are simply an unaccredited seminary. A diploma mill requires you to purchase a diploma without any school work whatsoever. Newburgh on the other hand has a strict entrance requirement and a program (usually consisting of 10 courses) that you must enroll in and complete in order to receive a grade and graduate. You are in danger of misrepresentation and defamation and urge you to consider removing Newburgh from your claim that it is a diploma mill.

Sorry brother,
you put Newburg in the rank of diploma mill. You make a mistake. Newburg is the third online school

Newburgh Theological Seminary is not a diploma mill... NTS requires official transcripts and a student consultation for admittance, the school requires coursework for every class and the coursework is graded, the school requires all coursework be complete and sufficient GPA for graduation. Many people were leery of online/distance education in the past but now many older school are using on demand seminars and programs very similar to Newburgh.

To anyone reading this, understand this is merely the opinion of one person... a person with a vendetta against a school. All you need to do is check out the faculty page on the school's website to see the caliber of people involved in their programs. Also, please not that this blog post is several years old and today Newburgh Theological seminary is stronger than ever. Bottom line- you will get a solid Christian education at NTS.

Yes, I think this guy was angry cause he couldn't use the degree for some employment. I believe this is a great student from all my research, especially if you are experienced in ministry.
